Last updated on: December 22, 2025

1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to LegitGrails OÜ (“LegitGrails,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules that apply when you access or use our websites, mobile applications, or any services we provide, including digital authentication, educational courses, and API-based authentication tools (together, the “Services”).

By using our Services, creating an account, placing an order, or accessing any content we provide, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

Please read these Terms carefully, as they form a legally binding agreement between you and LegitGrails. These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle personal data and cookies.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business operations. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through our website. The “Last Updated” date at the top of the Terms tells you when the latest version took effect.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have the meanings below:

“Account” – the personal or business profile you create to access certain Services, including authentication orders, course materials, or API tools.

“Authentication Services” – the expert review of photos or information you submit, where our specialists provide an opinion on the authenticity of an item based on the materials you provide.

“Certificate” – a digital document issued as part of the Authentication Services, containing our expert opinion. It is not an official brand document and does not confirm, imply, or create any affiliation with any brand.

“Courses” or “LegitGrails Academy” – digital educational materials, including videos, presentations, quizzes, and written guides that teach authentication principles for specific brands or categories.

“API Services” – authentication functionality delivered through our application programming interface (API), typically used by business clients within their own software or platforms.

“User,” “you,” or “your” – any individual or business accessing or using the Services, whether as a visitor, customer, student, or API client.

“User Content” – any content you upload, submit, or otherwise provide when using the Services, including photos, descriptions, messages, or other information.

“Order” – a request for Authentication Services, Courses, or API Services placed through our websites or connected platforms.

3. Who We Are & How to Contact Us

The Services are provided by:

LegitGrails OÜ
Ahtri 12, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia
Email: support@legitgrails.com

LegitGrails OÜ is a company registered in Estonia. We provide independent digital authentication services, educational courses, and API-based authentication tools. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the brands we authenticate or reference.

If you have any questions about these Terms or your use of the Services, you can contact us at the email address above. We aim to respond promptly and assist you with any issues related to your account, orders, or the interpretation of these Terms.

4. Scope of Services

LegitGrails provides several types of digital services. Depending on how you use our platform, you may access one or more of the following:

4.1 Authentication Services

We offer digital authentication based on the photos and information you submit. Our specialists review the provided materials and issue an expert opinion on whether, in our professional judgment, the item appears authentic or not.

Authentication results and certificates:

  • are based solely on the materials you provide;

  • represent an expert opinion, not a guarantee or an official brand verification;

  • do not imply any relationship, endorsement, or affiliation with any Third-Party Brand.

4.2 Courses and Educational Materials

LegitGrails Academy provides digital educational content, including pre-recorded lessons, presentations, quizzes, written guides, and certificates of completion.

These materials are for personal educational use only and may not be copied, shared, or resold.

4.3 API and Business Integrations

Some business clients use our Services through an API or similar integration on their own platforms. API Services allow businesses to send authentication requests directly through their systems, while the review and expert opinion are performed by LegitGrails in the same manner as regular authentication orders.

API access requires a separate agreement and may include additional terms, limits, or fees.

4.4 Global Availability

LegitGrails operates internationally, and users may access our Services from most countries. Certain Services or features may be restricted or unavailable in specific jurisdictions due to legal, technical, or business considerations.

5. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 16 years old to use our Services. If you are younger than 16, you may only use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Some features—such as submitting authentication requests, accessing your order history, or using purchased courses—require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it updated as needed. You are responsible for protecting your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, please contact us at support@legitgrails.com as soon as possible.

If you create an account on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In such cases, references to “you” and “your” apply both to you personally and to the organization you represent.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, provide false or misleading information, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise create risk or potential harm to LegitGrails, other users, or third parties. You may request to close your account at any time.

6. Placing Orders & Payments

You can place orders for Authentication Services, Courses, or API access through our websites or other platforms we make available. When you submit an order, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information so we can process your request correctly.

Once an order is submitted and payment is successfully processed, you will receive a confirmation to the email address linked to your account or provided during checkout. For authentication orders, all results and certificates are delivered digitally. Please note that you are solely responsible for ensuring that the email address you provide is correct and accessible. LegitGrails is not liable for delays or non-delivery of services caused by incorrect, misspelled, or inaccessible email addresses provided by the user.

For authentication orders, the service is considered fully delivered once we send the authentication result and/or certificate to the email address you provided during checkout or account registration. Delivery is deemed completed at the moment of successful transmission on our side, regardless of whether you open, download, or access the email. You are responsible for ensuring that your email settings (including spam filters, storage limits, and security restrictions) allow you to receive messages from LegitGrails.

All payments must be made using the payment methods available at checkout, such as card payments processed by Stripe or Shopify Payments. We do not store or have access to full card numbers, CVC codes, or other sensitive payment details — these are processed securely by our payment partners.

Prices for our Services are displayed on our website and may vary depending on the service type, brand, or urgency. All prices are shown in the currency specified at checkout and may include applicable taxes, depending on your location.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order, for example if: a) the information you provided is incomplete or inaccurate; b) the payment cannot be verified; c) we detect unusual or potentially fraudulent activity, or d) the order cannot be fulfilled for technical or operational reasons.

If we cancel an order before any service has been delivered, we will issue a refund according to our Refund Policy.

For details about returns, cancellations, and eligibility for refunds, please refer to our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Nature and Limitations of Authentication Services

Our authentication services are based on expert review of the photos and information you submit. When you place an order, our team examines the images, applies our knowledge and internal guidelines, and provides an expert opinion on whether the item is likely authentic or not. This opinion is based only on the information available to us at the time of review.

Our authentication certificates or results are not official documents, and they are not issued, endorsed, or approved by any brand or rights holder. LegitGrails operates independently and is not affiliated, sponsored, or associated with any of the brands referenced in our Services. All trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners.

Because we do not physically inspect items, our opinion may be limited by the quality and accuracy of the photos you provide. You are responsible for ensuring that the photos and information you submit are clear, accurate, and lawfully obtained.

You must not use our authentication results in any way that suggests official brand involvement, legal authority, or formal verification by a rights holder. The certificate is provided for personal or commercial reference only and should not be used as a substitute for brand-operated authentication, legal documentation, or proof of ownership.

Our authentication results and certificates reflect our expert opinion based on the information and photos you provide. They are not official brand determinations and should not be relied on as the sole basis for any financial, commercial, resale, or legal decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegitGrails is not liable for any decisions, actions, purchases, sales, transactions, disputes, or losses (including financial or reputational losses) that may occur as a result of relying on our opinion or certificates, unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms.

We may refuse or cancel an authentication order if we believe the photos submitted are misleading, reused, manipulated, or do not belong to you. In cases where we suspect fraud or misuse, we may suspend your account and decline further orders. Refund eligibility for such cases is described in our Refund Policy.

If you use our API-based authentication services, you are responsible for ensuring that your own end-users understand the nature of our services and the limitations outlined in this clause.

8. Courses and Educational Content

We offer a range of authentication-related courses and educational materials created together with experienced instructors and industry professionals. When you purchase a course, you receive access to pre-recorded lessons, examples, quizzes, and other training resources. All course materials are created independently by LegitGrails and external instructors. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any brands, and should be understood as educational content based on professional experience rather than official brand guidance. All course materials are owned by LegitGrails and provided for educational and informational purposes only. They are designed to help you understand authentication principles but do not qualify you as an official authenticator and do not grant any certification, license, or endorsement from any brand or rights holder.

LegitGrails operates independently from all brands, and all referenced trademarks belong to their respective owners. Your access to a purchased course is personal and non-transferable. You may not share, copy, resell, or redistribute any course content without our written permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we detect unauthorized sharing or misuse.

By using the course materials, you agree to respect all applicable intellectual property rights and to use the materials strictly for your own learning. We may update or improve course content from time to time to keep it relevant. These updates do not change the nature of your purchase unless explicitly stated.

9. API Access and Business Integrations

Some business clients use our authentication services through an API or other technical integrations. If you access our Services this way, additional terms may apply depending on the integration method and your internal workflows.

When using our API, you must follow the technical documentation, security requirements, and usage limits that we provide. You are responsible for implementing the API correctly, keeping your API keys secure, and ensuring that only authorized users in your organization can access the integration.

All data you submit through the API must be lawful, accurate, and provided with the necessary rights and permissions. You may not use the API to test, benchmark, or reverse-engineer our technology, nor may you use it in a way that could disrupt our systems.

The authentication results delivered through the API follow the same rules and limitations described in Clause 7. They represent expert opinions based on the information you provide and do not imply any brand affiliation or official endorsement.

We may update or modify the API from time to time—for example, to improve performance or security. When possible, we will give reasonable notice before making changes that may affect your integration. However, we are not responsible for any issues on your side caused by outdated implementations, internal system errors, or failures to follow our integration guidelines.

If you misuse the API, exceed approved usage, or violate these Terms, we may suspend or revoke your access.

10. Pricing, Changes to Services, and Refunds

Our prices for authentication services, courses, and other offerings are shown on our website or in your account at the time you place an order. All prices may change from time to time, and any updates will apply only to new orders. Prices may vary depending on the service type, urgency level, or additional features.

We may adjust, suspend, or discontinue certain services to improve our platform or respond to operational needs. If a change affects an order you have already paid for, we will either complete the service as agreed or offer a suitable alternative.

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In general, authentication results cannot be “undone,” and refunds cannot be issued simply because you disagree with an expert opinion. Refunds may also be restricted in cases involving misuse, fraudulent submissions, or violation of these Terms.

If a technical issue on our side prevents us from completing a paid order, we will either re-perform the service or issue a refund according to our Refund Policy.

You are responsible for any taxes or charges associated with your purchase unless otherwise stated. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (such as Stripe or Shopify Payments), and any fees, commissions, or technical issues related to those platforms fall under their control. LegitGrails does not manage or reverse payment processor fees. If you experience a payment-processing issue, you should contact the relevant payment provider or your bank directly using their official support channels.

11. Use of Photos, Content, and Intellectual Property

When you submit photos, descriptions, or other materials (“User Content”) to us, you must ensure that you have the lawful right to use and share them with LegitGrails, and that doing so does not infringe the rights of any third party.

By uploading User Content, you grant LegitGrails a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, reproduce, and process that content for the purposes of providing our Services. This includes reviewing the content for authentication, issuing certificates, providing customer support, improving our tools and workflows, maintaining internal records, and ensuring quality control.

In addition, you allow us to use User Content (including photos of items) for educational and informational purposes, such as in our blog posts, “Real vs Fake” guides, help centre materials, product pages or similar resources that explain authentication principles. When doing so, we will take best efforts to ensure that no personal data is disclosed and that the content does not identify you as the owner of the item, unless you give us explicit permission.

We may also create anonymised or aggregated materials based on User Content for internal research, training, analytics, and service improvement. These materials will not identify you.

We will never sell User Content or use it in paid advertising without your explicit consent.

All intellectual property rights in our Services — including authentication methods, course materials, text, graphics, certificates, and branding — belong to LegitGrails or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit our materials without our written permission.

References to third-party brand names, trademarks, or product images are made solely for descriptive or identification purposes. LegitGrails operates independently and is not associated with, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the brands we authenticate or mention.

12. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

When using our Services, you agree to act responsibly and lawfully. You must ensure that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and kept up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all actions taken through your account.

You may not use our Services in any way that violates applicable laws, infringes intellectual property rights, harms others, or interferes with the proper operation of the platform. In particular, you must not upload or submit any photos, materials, or content that you do not have the right to use, that belong to someone else without permission, or that are fraudulent, misleading, or intentionally altered to deceive.

You also agree not to misuse the platform, including by attempting to access systems without authorization, disrupting or overloading our infrastructure, copying or scraping content, or trying to reverse-engineer any part of the Services.

If we believe that your use of the Services violates these Terms or creates legal, security, or operational risks, we may suspend or restrict your access temporarily or permanently. We may also request additional information or documentation to verify your identity or the authenticity of the content you submit.

13. Brand Affiliation, Intellectual Property & Descriptive Use Disclaimer

LegitGrails operates as an independent authentication service. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to any of the brands referenced in our Services, including in authentication reports, course materials, marketing content, or educational resources.

All trademarks, logos, product names, distinctive designs, and brand-specific imagery belong solely to their respective owners. Any use of these marks is strictly for identification, descriptive, or educational purposes, and does not imply any form of partnership or approval.

Our authentication results, certificates, and educational materials represent our professional opinion only, based on expertise and industry-standard techniques. They are not official brand-authenticated documents, nor do they establish or confirm authenticity on behalf of the original brand owners.

Brand references, comparisons, “Real vs Fake” examples, or visual illustrations featured on our website, social media, or courses are provided strictly for informational and educational purposes.

We do not claim any rights over third-party intellectual property and do not reproduce or distribute brand-proprietary content unless permitted by applicable fair use or descriptive use principles.

If you are a brand owner and believe any content on our platform infringes your rights, please contact us at support@legitgrails.com and we will review and address your request promptly.

14. Warranties & Disclaimers

Our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we use reasonable skill, care, and industry-standard methods to perform authentication and provide educational content, we do not guarantee that any result, certificate, or opinion will be error-free, definitive, or suitable for any particular purpose. Authentication results and certificates reflect our expert opinion based solely on the photos and information you submit. They are not official brand determinations, nor do they replace brand-operated authentication, legal documentation, or proof of ownership.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties—whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise—including any implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the information or opinions provided through our Services. LegitGrails is not liable for any losses, transactions, commercial outcomes, disputes, or claims that arise from relying on our expert opinion, unless expressly required by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such cases, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted by law.

15. Third-Party Tools, Integrations & External Links

LegitGrails uses certain third-party tools and services to operate the website, process orders, provide authentication, deliver courses, send communications, and analyze platform performance. These tools may include hosting providers, payment processors, analytics platforms, marketing tools, customer support software, and AI-based image analysis services.

Some of these third-party services may collect or process personal data as part of their functionality. Their use is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. We do not control how these third parties operate, and your use of their tools is subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

Our website and communications may also contain links to websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, policies, or actions of any third-party websites. If you choose to interact with those websites, you do so at your own risk.

While we select our service providers carefully and monitor their reliability, we cannot guarantee that third-party systems will always operate without interruption or error.

16. Termination & Suspension of Access

You may stop using our Services at any time by closing your account or simply discontinuing use.
Please note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel any orders already placed. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without prior notice, if we believe that: a) you have violated these Terms or any applicable law; b) you provided false, misleading, or fraudulent information; c) you attempted to misuse our platform (for example, by submitting fraudulent photos or abusing refund processes); d) your actions create risk or potential harm to us, our users, or third parties; or e) we are required to do so for legal or security reasons.

If your access is suspended or terminated, you remain responsible for any obligations or payments incurred before the termination date. Termination of access does not affect any rights or responsibilities that arose prior to termination, including our right to use User Content in accordance with these Terms.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect our operations, security, or reputation.

17. Changes to the Services and to These Terms

We may update or modify our Services from time to time to improve functionality, add new features, address security or legal requirements, or reflect changes in our business operations.

These updates may occur with or without prior notice, and we are not liable for any impact such changes may have on your ability to use the Services.

We may also update these Terms when necessary. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website or through your account dashboard. In some cases, we may provide additional notice by email.

The updated Terms take effect once published, unless a later effective date is stated. Your continued use of the Services after the new Terms take effect means you accept the updated version. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the Services.

Any changes will not affect existing orders that have already been accepted and are being processed unless required by law.

18. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any issues related to your use of our Services are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you ever have a concern or dispute, we ask that you reach out to us first at support@legitgrails.com. We will always do our best to understand the issue and resolve it informally and fairly. If we cannot resolve the matter together, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts of Estonia, which will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other documents or guidelines referenced within them, form the entire agreement between you and LegitGrails regarding your use of our Services.

They replace any previous versions or understandings, whether written or verbal, relating to the same subject matter.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the Terms will continue to apply in full. Our failure to enforce any right or provision under these Terms does not mean we waive that right.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations if we undergo a restructuring, merger, acquisition, or similar business transaction, provided that such assignment does not materially affect your rights.

Your continued use of the Services means that you accept and agree to any updates or modifications to these Terms, which we may make from time to time as described in Clause 16.
